Anatomy of a vintage 80′s Macho Badass Action Movie Jacket

January 23, 2010

What can be said of the 1986 classic COBRA that has not already been laid bare by i-Mockery? News to me: Stallone wrote the screenplay, which had something to do with Beverly Hills Cop… but that’s another story and a different bale of vintage clothes. Anyway lets familiarize ourselves with this vintage gem, which is now kicking ass and taking names in my eBay store.

The awesomeness of this jacket is surpassed only by the awesomeness (and awesome ridiculousness) of the film itself. What are the measurements? Not that I’ll ever be able to afford it…

This jacket is worth it! Will embiggen the smallest man into action hero status instantly!

    Mens size medium… measurements:
    22.4″ across pit-pit
26.5″ long from shoulder to hem
25″ long sleeves from shoulder to cuff

Badass is right. stallone was rumored to either to Cobra 2 or Rocky 5. I wish he chose Cobra 2. Where do you keep finding all this wicked movie stuff. Please find me this and Better Off Dead in Large.

Funny thing is i found both the cobra AND better off dead jackets at the same thrift store, which seems to be goldmine of old movie promo clothing. This sort of stuff is not uncommon to find across LA LA Land thrift stores.
